SALA Festival 2016

Are you battling to get your creative juices flowing during the unrelenting cold of an Adelaide winter?

Well the South Australian Living Artists (or more commonly known SALA) Festival is just the tonic with more than 4600 artists presenting their wares in 630 free exhibitions across the state throughout the month of August. There are a multitude of diverse visual art and design on display, including varied forms of multimedia, photography, illustration, print-making and oh so much more.

The 19th SALA Festival will put on a state-wide arty winter feast as 570 venues from pubs and cafes to wineries, bookshops and even tattoo shops are turned into pop-up art galleries for 31 days.

During this particularly aesthetic August there will also be a number of public events in and around Adelaide, including SALA in the Square: Victoria Square pop up exhibitions, Art at the Airport: a part of the “Great Southern Land” exhibition, SALA goes Guitar: A collaboration with the Adelaide Guitar Festival andArt After Dark: West End Walking Tours; just to name a few.
