What We Do

Core Web Vitals Optimisation

What is Core Web Vitals?

Google’s Core Web Vitals measure how fast, stable and responsive your website is, and they play a big role in both user experience and search rankings. We optimise all websites during development, but Core Web Vitals aren’t something that can be “set and forget.” Scores naturally shift over time as new content, images, plugins and updates are added to the website.

This is why ongoing Core Web Vitals optimisation isn’t included as part of the initial build. A new website can only be optimised for its launch state—once you begin editing pages, uploading media, or installing integrations, performance changes. To keep your scores consistently healthy, regular audits and adjustments are needed beyond the original build.

Our quarterly and annual optimisation plans provide the ongoing monitoring and improvements required to maintain strong Core Web Vitals as your website grows and evolves.

FAQs

What is Core Web Vitals?

Core Web Vitals are a set of specific metrics Google uses to measure a user’s experience on your site. They focus on three main areas: loading speed, interactivity, and visual stability. A strong CWV score signals to Google that your site is high-quality, which can lead to better search rankings and a smoother experience for your visitors.

Why isn't this included in my website already?

Not every website requires an extreme level of optimization. To achieve a “perfect” score, we often have to make difficult choices, such as removing complex design features or limiting third-party scripts (like tracking pixels or chat widgets) that slow down the browser. CWV optimization is most critical for businesses investing in SEO or Google Ads, where every millisecond of speed directly impacts your return on investment.

Why are regular audits necessary?

The digital landscape is dynamic. Google updates its scoring criteria regularly, and as you add new content, images, or plugins to your site, your performance can shift. Regular audits ensure your website remains compliant with the latest industry standards and continues to perform at its peak as your business grows.

Can you guarantee a specific score?

While we use industry-leading techniques to optimize your site, we cannot guarantee a specific “100/100” score. Many factors—such as third-party integrations, external plugins, and hosting environments—are beyond direct control. However, we work to achieve the highest possible score for your specific setup and can advise you on the necessary trade-offs if you have a specific target in mind.
