Argon attends Australia Day Luncheon 2017

As a part of our ongoing sponsorship of the Australia Day Council, Argon was invited to attend the Australia Day Luncheon – the official launch of Australia Day activities in South Australia.

We joined a room full of sponsors, stakeholders, business owners, employees, dignitaries and Australian of the Year Award nominees – all ably hosted by television and radio presenter Tom Rehn.

Speaker Dr Fiona Kerr and comedian Peter Rowsthorn enlightened and entertained the crowd but it was the opening remarks, from Australia Day Council of South Australia Chairperson Houssam Abiad, that gave the audience pause for thought as he regaled us with stories of his upbringing as an Australian immigrant.

At a time when there is uncertainty about international border control, the theme for the day “sometimes the only thing we have in common is our diversity” echoed refreshingly clear; and gave us an extra reason to celebrate. Just looking around at our own table, there were links back to Greece, Germany, England, Ireland, China and India and we were definitely in a celebratory mood.

As always, Argon pitched in with the branding of the Luncheon. We created a floral theme of native grevillea sprigs that decorated event collateral; including programs, promotional products, invitations, entree cards and presentation slides.
